      po, rename: harden against similar issues that are not believed
      to be exploitable
  * t/passwordauth.t: new automated test for CVE-2017-0356
  * Backport IkiWiki::Plugin::git from 3.20170110 to fix the following
    bugs, including one minor security vulnerability:
    - Security: try revert operations before approving them. Previously,
      automatic rename detection could result in a revert writing outside
      the wiki srcdir or altering a file that the reverting user should not
      be able to alter, an authorization bypass.
      (CVE-2016-10026 represents the original vulnerability.)
      The incomplete fix released in 3.20161219 was not effective for git
      versions prior to 2.8.0rc0.
      (CVE-2016-9645 represents that incomplete solution. Debian stable
      was never vulnerable to this one.)
    - Fix the warnings "cannot chdir to .../ikiwiki-temp-working: No such
      file or directory" seen in the initial fixes for those security issues
    - If no committer identity is known, set it to
      "IkiWiki <ikiwiki.info>" in .git/config. This resolves commit errors
      in versions of git that require a non-trivial committer identity.
    - Use git log --no-renames to generate recentchanges, fixing the git
      test-case with git 2.9 (Closes: #835612)
    - Don't issue a warning if the rcsinfo CGI parameter is undefined
    - Do not fail to commit changes with a recent git version
      and an anonymous committer
    - Do not fail on filenames starting with a dash
      (patch from Florian Wagner)
    - Don't add a redundant "--" and run "git rev-list ... -- -- ..."
  * Backport t/git-cgi.t from 3.20170110 to have automated test coverage
    for using the CGI with git, including tests for CVE-2016-10026
     - Build-depend on libipc-run-perl for better build-time test coverage
  * Backport IkiWiki::Plugin::img from 3.20160905 to fix a regression
    in 3.20141016.3:
    - img: ignore the case of the extension when detecting image format,
      fixing the regression that *.JPG etc. would not be displayed
      (patch from Amitai Schleier)
  * Backport tests' installed-test (autopkgtest) support from 3.20160121,
    adjusted for compatibility with the older pkg-perl-autopkgtest in jessie
    - d/control: add enough build-dependencies to run all tests, except for

    simply passing the SVG through to the browser, which is supported by all
    commonly used browsers these days.
    SVG scaling by img directives has subtly changed; where before
    size=wxh would preserve aspect ratio, this cannot be done when passing
    them through and so specifying both a width and height can change
    the SVG's aspect ratio.

  * Try to avoid a situation in which so many ikiwiki cgi wrapper programs
    are running, all waiting on some long-running thing like a site rebuild,
    that it prevents the web server from doing anything else. The current
    approach only avoids this problem for GET requests; if multiple cgi's
    run GETs on a site at the same time, one will display a "please wait"
    page for a configurable number of seconds, which then redirects to retry.
    To enable this protection, set cgi_overload_delay to the number of
    seconds to wait. This is not enabled by default.
  * Add back a 1em margin between archivepage divs.
  * recentchangesdiff: Correct broken template that resulted in duplicate
    diff icons being displayed, and bloated the recentchanges page with
    inline diffs when the configuration should have not allowed them.

    Text::Markdown::Discount perl module. This is preferred if available
    since it's the fastest currently supported markdown library, speeding up

    is still used.)

  * aggregate: Forking a child broke the one state that mattered: Forcing
    the aggregating page to be rebuilt. Fix this.
  * cgi hooks are now run before ikiwiki state is loaded.

  * Stop testing Encode::is_utf8 in decode_form_utf8: That doesn't work.
  * decode_form_utf8 only fixed the utf-8 encoding for fields that were
    registered at the time it was called, which was before the
    formbuilder_setup hook. Fields added by the hook didn't get decoded.
    But it can't be put after the hook either, since plugins using the hook
    need to be able to use form values. To fix this dilemma, it's been changed
    to a decode_cgi_utf8, which is called on the cgi query object, before the
    form is set up, and decodes *all* cgi parameters.
  * aggregate: Only save state if it was already loaded. This didn't used to
    matter, but after recent changes, state is not always loaded, and saving
    would kill it.

  * In the cgi edit path, reload the index file before rendering. A bug
    showed up where a web edit that added a page caused a near-concurrent
    web edit to fail in will_render. While it would be hard to reproduce this,
    my analysis is that the failing cgi started first, loaded the index file
    (prior to locking) then the other cgi created the new page and rendered
    it, and then the failing cgi choked on the new file when _it_ tried to
    render it. Ensuring that the index file is loaded after taking the lock
    will avoid this bug.
  * Fix strange stderr-hiding code in the git module, allow error messages
    to be passed on to stderr. Also fixes a potential bug, since git error
    meesages were treated as if they came from git stdout.
  * Add a "createlink" class attribute to the span for wikilinks pointing

    instead of over and over. Typical speedup is ~4x. Max possible speedup:
    8x.

  * Remove headercontent; the search plugin now adds the search box to the
    header by registering a pagetemplate hook, and other plugins should do
    similarly.
  * Rebuilding on upgrade to this version is recommended.
  * Add a html validity check to the test suite, using the wdg-html-validator,
    if available.
  * Make the html valid when there is nothing in the actions list.
  * Reordered some function call parameters for consistency.
  * Enable full utf-8 support for page input and output.
  * Add a workaround for markdown, which does not work well with utf-8
    strings.
  * --getctime had bitrotted (well I only ever used it the once so far..),
    fix and make it a bit more flexible
  * rcs_getctime is changed, now rather than needing to loop over all pages,
    it should just use the rcs to get the ctime of the passed file.
  * When inlining a page in another one, links from the inlined page are now
    expanded the same as they are when rendering the inlined page as a
    standalone page. So rather than being expanded from the POV of the
    inlining page, they are expanded from the POV of the inlined page.

    For example, a link from blog/foo to "bar" will now link to blog/bar
    if it exists. Previously this needed to be a link explicitly to
    "blog/bar"; such links will also continue to work.

    (This was slightly complex to do as the link still has to be constructed
    relative to the inlining page.)
  * Make page edit textarea resize to fit browser window.
  * Add -refresh option to ikiwiki-mass-rebuild and use that on upgrades that
    do not need a full rebuild, in order to update any basewiki pages.

ikiwiki (1.1) unstable; urgency=low

  * Rename inlinepage to depends, so that it can be used to refer to more
    dependency relationships than just inlining. This will require a rebuild
    on upgrade to this version.
  * Move the rss link, put it in the blogpost form if there is one and at the
    top if not. This is both nicer because easier to find, and it cleans up
    the code which had used inlinepage as a flag for adding the link later.
  * Allow the depends GlobList to be built up from multiple sources (such as
    plugins) during a page render.
  * Which means that more than one blog is now supported to appear on a
    single page. (With some limitations, like only the last one getting an
    rss file.)
  * Added a plugin system.
  * Added a pagecount plugin, enabled by default.

    it, this will allow for adding a unit test suite.

    dirname, basename, bestlink, linkify, pagetitle, titlepage.
  * Smart globlist merging.
  * Patch from Thomas Schwinge to switch from --svn to --rcs=svn, etc,
    to pave the way for adding other RCS support. This also changes the
    setup files, where before they had svn => 1 or svn => 0, now they have
    rcs => "svn" or rcs => "".
  * Add a debian/NEWS file with upgrade notes.
  * Load whatever rcs module is specified, so new ones can be just dropped in

  * Add ikiwiki-mass-rebuild script, ripped out of the postinst.
  * Add some new config items to the estseek.conf template, which are needed
    by hyperestraier 1.2.3.
